Cash Money Success...

Cash money records’ gang of artists are flooding the radio airwaves. Having contracts with many of hip hop cultures big name artists like Lil’ Wayne, Drake, Nikki Minaj, Tyga, Lil’ Bow Wow, Busta Rhymes and the list just continues to go on. Their high profile list of rappers and pop stars has brought in an extreme amount of revenue over recent years.

Cash Money Records is an American record label founded in 1991 by the brothers Bryan “Baby” Williams aka Birdman and Ronald “Slim” Williams. The distributing label of Cash money is Universal records.

Within the last three years the label has begin to reach new heights within the music industry’s success status. Not only with their international superstar rapper Lil’ Wayne, but now with the new and extremely successful Drake and Nikki Minaj. The signing of Drake and Nikki Minaj, with the help of Lil’ Wayne, has catapulted the label into being, arguably, the most successful label in hip hop right now. Beginning with Drake’s highly popular mix tape so far gone. Followed by Minaj’s mix tape Pink Friday. Both of which broke records for mix tape success.

Cash money Records has also recently developed a new subordinate label for the older generation of music lovers, of which the recently deceased Teena Marie was signed. Releasing two successful albums over a five year sting began to make this label a great business endeavor. Notwithstanding, the label did not produce any outstanding acts other than the Ivory Queen of Soul Teena Marie. Ultimately cause the label to fold on its Cash Money Classics venture.

Nevertheless, since it’s development in 1991 with artist like Birdman, 504 Boyz, Mystical and many more, this label has done nothing short of being productive in the business. With it’s continuing endeavors with new artist and great marketing strategies it is impossible to say what is next for hip hop generation as far a Cash Money Records is concerned.
